Increased productivity in the analytical testing of AAV titers with an automated immunoassay platform

Modern bioprocess development laboratories must handle large numbers of samples with an increasing demand for efficient and timely analytical methods to support the monitoring of quantity and quality in products and processes without overburdening personnel. This requires reliable and robust analytical methods that can withstand various challenges during development, such as changing conditions and matrices and the rigors of the regulated environment.

Immunoassays play an important role in analytical support, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) have long been the dominant assays. The need to run multiple assays faster, in parallel, and on the same platform to support efficient, data-driven decision-making has led to the development of next-generation automated immunoassay platforms.

The webinar will present case studies illustrating how AAV titer testing in process development can be accelerated by replacing manual ELISAs with an automated flow-through affinity immunoassay platform that provides robust analysis from step to step, minimizing the need for repeated analyses.

  • Approaches used to automate validated manual immunoassays to increase workflow productivity
  • Analytical assay development approaches used to transfer kits designed for manual immunoassays to an automated platform
  • How to optimize testing of bioprocess development samples with high variation in AAV titer on an automated immunoassay platform
